nanoScience Engineering Corp.'s primary focus to date has been in the area of enhanced permeability performance. Our technologically disruptive process presents significant advantages, particularly in the production of fuel tanks for the automotive industry and the retardation of oxygen permeation in packaging and containers for the packaging industry.
nanoScience Engineering Corp. was formed as a Michigan corporation in 2004 as a result of a research collaboration between a group of internationally renowned professors and scientists at Wayne State University and seasoned executives with expertise in the materials and automotive industries, and has formed an ongoing joint research partnership with the university. Wayne State University has licensed to nanoScience Engineering Corp. a suite of patents protecting the chemical composition and processing of high performance nanomaterials, polymer and rubber additives, which demonstrate a number advantageous characteristics over the materials currently used in the manufacture of various polymers and rubbers. Our key material is a "fully exfoliated and dispersible nanomaterial that dramatically enhances performance at a reduced cost" and we market the polymer under the "nanoSEC" brand.
Since the end of 2006, nanoScience Engineering Corp. has achieved significant milestones which include entering into a number of joint development agreements (JDA's) with various partners. These partners are comprised of 2 Fortune 500 automotive original equipment manufacturers ("OEM"), one of one of the world's largest manufacturers of brand-name consumer products for the home improvement and new home construction markets, and a Tier One automotive supplier.
